MCF celebrates all things food including cooking demos in Merchant Square, street food vendors, and pavement eating in Miller St for the first time.

A multitude of bands from all over Scotland, the UK and beyond descend on the Merchant City, bringing a riot of colour and sound to the streets and celebrating the best of carnival music from around the globe.

Featuring gourmet treats, obstacles course, play area, training demos, canine first aid demos, doggy photo booth and much much more.

If you are inspired to get involved then why not try one of our pop-up workshops or watch a demonstration in a number of different dance styles.

Learn more about your camera and the Merchant City as you are guided through the best way to capture some of the areas spectacular buildings and interiors.

The colourful procession will wend its way down High Street, shimmer along George Street and Cochrane Street before dancing around George Square before making some noise as it heads for the final destination of Merchant City.

Hear about how the rubbish we throw away is causing harm to our precious sea life and help us create sea creatures from the plastic we have found.

The Merchant Square Crafts market comes outside for the weekends of the festival with something to suit all tastes and budgets.

A place for local residents and festival visitors to enjoy outdoor design, food from the street and international markets, and entertainment.
